Infantino reveals the date of announcing the host of the 2030 World Cup – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed that the 2022 Qatar World Cup is the most successful in history, in all respects, especially the financial aspect.

Swiss Gianni Infantino revealed the most prominent revenues and numbers achieved by the current edition of the World Cup, where he said during a press conference held today: “The revenues for the 2022 World Cup amounted to 7.5 billion dollars. The number of audiences attending the World Cup matches has reached 3.27 million fans so far, knowing that there are still two matches for the third and final place, and the number of watching the World Cup matches on television has reached nearly 5 billion, which is an unprecedented number in the history of the tournament. Regarding Qatar’s success in hosting the World Cup in all aspects, he said: “The Qatar World Cup was very successful, as we did not witness any mass incident, and in my opinion it was the best in the history of the tournament in all respects.”

“The 2030 World Cup host will know about it in 2024.”

Regarding the announcement of the 2030 World Cup host, he said: “I hope to continue as FIFA president until 2031, and the host country for the 2030 World Cup will be announced in 2024.” It is expected that the current version will end next Sunday, with the final between Argentina and France at the “Lusail” stadium, provided that the next version of the World Cup will be in 2026 in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada, with the participation of 48 teams for the first time in history.
