Next Sunday is a paid holiday – the Algerian dialogue

The Directorate General of Public Service and Administrative Reform announced that next Sunday, which coincides with the advent of the New Year 2023, will be a paid holiday for all employees of public institutions and administrations.

And a statement by the directorate, today, Monday, stated that “on the occasion of the advent of the New Gregorian year, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 63-278 of July 26, 1963, which includes the list of legal holidays, amended and supplemented, Sunday, January 01, 2023 is considered a paid holiday for all employees of institutions.” And public administrations, public and private bodies and offices, as well as all employees of public and private institutions in all sectors, regardless of their basic law, including employees by the day or by the hour. In this context, “public institutions, administrations, bodies, bureaus, and institutions mentioned above must take the necessary measures to ensure continuity of service in the departments that work in the rotation system.”
