The Ministry of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, accompanied by the President and General Manager of Sonelgaz, in the second leg of the work and inspection visit in the state of Tamangist, laid out the service space for the gas and electricity networks in the neighborhood of 296 rental public housing in the Adrian neighborhood of the state headquarters.
This project aims to improve the standard of living of the citizen, as well as to develop and enhance the electrical and gas capacities in the state. The length of the medium tension network was 3 km, the length of the low tension network amounted to 6,400 km, and 4 electrical transformers were equipped. As for gas, the length of the distribution network for this project was approximately 4 km. It was well received by the residents of the area.
The Minister took this opportunity to sensitize citizens about the dangers caused by the misuse of natural gas and the need to take precautions and beware of the dangers resulting from carbon dioxide and gas leaks.
The minister also indicated that the Sonelgaz complex periodically launches several awareness campaigns on the subject, and in this context he called for caution, work on maintaining devices, and adhering to advice and instructions to preserve lives, especially in the winter season.
