Today, Thursday, the Minister of Transport, Kamal Beljud, revealed that his interests entered into negotiations with “Boeing” and “Air Peace” companies in order to acquire 15 aircraft within the framework of the air fleet support plan.
And Kamal Beljoud said, during a public session in the National Assembly to answer questions from members, that the Ministry of Transport entered into negotiations a few days ago with the giants “Boeing” and “Arbis” to acquire new aircraft, noting that the maintenance branch of Air Algerie, which has 11 aircraft, In need of maintenance, he was facing major problems, including a very small number of mechanics, as well as a complete lack of spare parts, adding that, as urgent measures to advance this branch, a new official was appointed and given the green light, in addition to the acquisition of spare parts and the summoning of 20 retired mechanics in order to return To work.
In his response, the minister added that his interests had received from various bodies a list of 30 mechanics who will be employed to strengthen the aircraft maintenance branch of the Algerian Air Force and to complete the maintenance process next March.
