Pictures.. Boghali receives the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Algeria – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

The President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bogali, received today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Assembly, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Algeria, Mr. Peter Katana Angour.

The meeting dealt with the development of bilateral relations, which have reached a strategic level, and ways to enhance them in various fields, as well as ways to upgrade cooperation between the two countries to the level of the historical political relations that unite them. Particular focus was placed on the parliamentary aspect, which was supported by the establishment of a friendship group, which is expected to constitute an effective mechanism in strengthening ties of cooperation in all fields, including the exchange of experiences and expertise.

This meeting was also an opportunity to review a number of issues of common interest, and allowed to show the congruence of the two countries’ views regarding the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya praised the depth of relations between the two countries, appreciating the efforts made to promote bilateral cooperation, and stressed that the established friendship group “will give a strong impetus to relations and open a new window for cooperation in various fields.”

The meeting also dealt with the arrangements for the official visit that the Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Kenya, Musa Weta Ngangula, will pay to Algeria, at the invitation of Mr. Ibrahim Bogali, Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, from 17 to 25 February.
