The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Thursday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, Kim Chang-mo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Algeria, in the presence of the President and General Manager of the Sonelgaz Group.
The two sides reviewed the relations between the Sonelgaz complex and Korean companies in the field of energy and prospects for cooperation and investment between the two countries.
The two sides also discussed investment prospects in the fields of engineering, electricity production and renewable energies. In this regard, the minister presented the project for the construction of photovoltaic solar energy production facilities with a capacity of 2,000 MW that Sonelgaz recently launched, inviting Korean companies to participate in this project.
The two sides also discussed the possibilities of cooperation and partnership in the field of hydrocarbons, especially the production and transfer of hydrocarbons.
The two sides expressed the common will of the two countries to enhance their cooperation and develop mutually beneficial partnerships that create wealth and job opportunities in Algeria.
