Ibrahim Bogali, President of the National People’s Assembly, received today, Wednesday, Gary Capelli, Chairman of the Croatian Foreign Affairs Committee, and his accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Bogali expressed his happiness with the visit of the Croatian delegation, which will be the beginning of an exchange of other visits between the Croatian Parliament and the National People’s Assembly. It recently joined the Schengen space.
On the other hand, the President of the Council insisted on the need to strengthen bilateral partnership in various fields, pointing in the same context to the need to intensify cooperation and exchange, especially since the new Algeria, led by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has opened up promising prospects for investment that materialized in the field after Parliament voted on the investment law. And that among the commitments of the President is to promote joint action between Algeria and friendly countries that share with Algeria visions and perceptions in the various political files, whether strategic ones or those that fall under the areas of economic exchange, especially in the fields of energy, shipbuilding, agriculture and fishing, as well as cultural exchanges, Recalling the visit of the Algerian Foreign Minister to Croatia in 1992, immediately after its independence.
In the parliamentary field, Bogali greeted the inauguration of the Algerian-Croatian Friendship Parliamentary Group, as well as the presence of its counterpart in Croatia represented by members of the delegation accompanying the Chairman of the Croatian Foreign Affairs Committee, calling for raising the level of parliamentary relations to serve the interests of the two countries in various fields.
During the meeting, the head of the Croatian parliamentary delegation stressed that this visit constitutes an opportunity to deepen political consultation between the two countries on various international and regional issues of common interest, in addition to discussing prospects for economic cooperation in various fields, especially with regard to promoting and developing opportunities for trade exchange and direct investment in the fishing fields. marine

Capelli also renewed the invitation of the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament to Bogale to visit Croatia, which will allow the embodiment of cooperation between the two legislative bodies, by signing an agreement of understanding between the Croatian Parliament and the National People’s Assembly, and consolidating the work of parliamentary diplomacy.
