Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally Party, Tayeb Zitouni, highlighted on Friday in Bordj Bou Arreridj that the 2020 constitution has granted important political gains to women, calling for strengthening their position in the political field.
Zitouni said in a meeting with representatives of his party at the Hammadiyen Hotel in the capital of Biban, which falls within the framework of the commemoration of International Women’s Day (March 8), that “the time has come to work to enhance the gains of Algerian women by promoting their performance in all professional fields,” calling in this regard for “the necessity Involving women staying at home and rural women in the political field by reaching them in all parts of the country.
And the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Assembly party added that “the political reality currently imposes the application of the principle of parity in the electoral lists, in a way that guarantees effective representation of women in the elected councils.”
On the other hand, Zitouni praised the courageous stances expressed by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the national sessions for agriculture, where he ordered the government to advance this sector, noting that his party has always called on the government for radical and urgent reforms to the agricultural sector, since previous policies had bet – according to him – on Superficial solutions and neglected the essence represented in the farmer.
In the same context, the same party official affirmed that his political formation “supports the directives of the President of the Republic, who has a political will that seeks to advance the national economy, achieve comprehensive social development, and take care of the citizen’s concerns,” indicating that what he called “fierce resistance to the reforms of the President of the Republic is aimed at It is clear that it is obstructing the course of change that the people aspire to.”
And the Secretary-General of the National Democratic Assembly considered that the conduct of public affairs “requires freedom from hesitation, a spirit of initiative, and confronting the widespread bureaucracy that addresses the requirements of development and change.”
