Yassine Hammadi: 25 new tourist areas directed to environmental and ecological projects – El Hewar Algeria

The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Yassin Hammadi, affirmed today, Saturday, that the active movement known to the tourism sector comes through the workshops opened by the ministry in all aspects of its development and promotion, starting with the investable tourism property, which is the basic building block for embracing investments, which knows a wide purification process, The intention is to provide it to investors free of all obstacles, through the approval of the amendment of the Executive Decree amending Decree No. 88-232 of November 05, 1988, through which the information related to the administrative borders of 171 tourism expansion areas was corrected (updating the naming of municipalities, departments and states,) and add geographic coordinates (GPS).

In the same context, and in continuation of the process of purifying the tourist real estate, the Minister of Tourism revealed that 48 expansion areas and tourist sites concerned with the process of total or partial cancellation of these areas have been identified, which were exploited for purposes incompatible with their tourism nature, including 11 tourist expansion areas proposed for total cancellation, distributed over 08 states, and 37 tourist expansion areas proposed for partial cancellation, which are located in 15 states. In the same framework, 25 new tourism expansion areas were classified, mainly directed to embrace environmental and ecological projects, especially at the level of mountainous regions and high plateaus.

In the field of investment, the senior official in the tourism sector explained that it represents the backbone of the sector’s development strategy, so that the tourism sector contributed to enriching the new investment draft law, which was recently issued, and its implementation texts, which would raise the investment activity to the highest levels and guarantee Obtaining tourism projects with the required standards and international standards.

In this regard, and the fact that the latter represents the cornerstone of the development of tourism in the country, the minister stated that the tourism sector has been included among the priority sectors, as the investments made in the tourism sector benefit from many advantages that encourage investors to proceed with the completion of their tourism projects with ease.

With regard to the study day on “mechanisms for financing tourism and hotel projects in Algeria,” Yassine Hammadi confirmed that it emanated from an extensive study of the reality of the sector, where specialists tried to limit the most important points to be discussed in the field of financing tourism investment, in order to promote tourism in Algeria, and give it the right place. And the role assigned to it as one of the most important economic poles.

In the same context, the Minister explained that the topic discussed during the study day sheds light on an essential element of tourism projects, which is the financial aspect, in which the state has made great strides, especially in the field of simplifying banking procedures in all its stages, and facilitating the granting of loans and methods of repayment. For the benefit of projects that all flow into the approach of expanding the hotel barn and tourism projects, which will allow accommodating the largest number of tourists, whose influx is known to be on an upward trend year after year, thanks to the Algeria destination marketing plan that we put into effect, in which we involved various actors inside and outside the country, including Fruitful cooperation with the World Tourism Organization.

In the same regard, the minister indicated that cooperation with the World Tourism Organization was not limited to developing a marketing plan for Algeria’s destination only, but also extended to other aspects of great importance in the development of tourism in our country, the most important of which is the development of tourism investment, where a tourism investment guide was prepared, which It is an interface and an important means for the benefit of tourism project holders from inside and outside the country, as it will undoubtedly constitute an opportunity for investors to view the available opportunities and exploit them in a way that brings them guaranteed profit and contributes to the national effort to promote tourism investment.
