Arab and international filmmakers acknowledge the role of “Qumra” in supporting their careers
International filmmakers participating in Qumra focused on the role of the forum as a unique event, due to its importance in our world today, in order to build new voices in cinema. They also praised the support of the Doha Film Institute in enhancing the credibility of their films.
44 feature films and documentaries, as well as short films and series from 23 countries, are participating in the Qumra Forum, as part of the Doha Film Institute’s mission to support the journey of emerging filmmakers, and enable them to complete their projects and present them to audiences around the world.

The film is currently in production, and its events revolve around inheritance laws in Arab and Islamic countries, and the extent of their injustice to women.
