In a previous period, there were no accurate and correct figures, and after meetings with the producers, we reviewed the production capabilities, which reach Today, it has reached 4,600 tons, or 3 times the citizen’s needs.”
Zitouni linked the possibility of the continuation of neighboring markets throughout the year, to the extent of their ability to break prices and create a balance between supply and demand, as he said: “Algeria possesses many private and public markets, and there is a program to open 550 commercial markets, so far more than 400 of them are in many municipalities. And he added in the same context: “If we find that the markets will break prices and put an end to speculation, why don’t we go to provide them throughout the year? There is an increasing demand for certain basic materials such as oil, and we pump additional quantities daily, which cannot be distributed.” If there are no neighborhood markets. And the speaker highlighted that: “Neighborhood markets are seasonal markets to break monopoly and control prices. Importing 20,000 tons of fresh meat to break prices
And the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion considered that: “The Algerian state had to pump additional quantities of meat into the markets to break the monopoly and prices. The Algerian markets have 50 thousand tons of red meat, in addition to 10 thousand calves and import 20 thousand tons of fresh meat to break the monopoly.” And the prices are very high.” As for selling meat at a ceiling price of up to 1200 DZD, the Minister of Trade stated: “This material reaches many parts of the country, not all of them. Unfortunately, there are some obstacles that stand in the way of joint Arab action, especially in integration. In building a balanced, integrated, and cooperative Arab economic space, it is true that there are some exchanges. It is the beginning of the road that will take its true shape after signing bilateral agreements, and after removing all barriers from the path of these exchanges.
