The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Ataf, renewed, during a phone call from his Libyan counterpart, today, Tuesday, Naglaa Al-Mangoush, Algeria’s permanent solidarity with the sister country of Libya in everything that supports its unity and enshrines the consensus of its people regarding the organization of free and fair elections that end divisions and restore Libya has its natural position at the continental and international levels.
According to the statement of the Foreign Ministry, the two ministers reviewed the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and ways to enhance them, as well as developments in the situation at the regional level.
The statement added that the two ministers exchanged views on prospects for overcoming obstacles that impede the path of a political settlement of the Libyan crisis.
For her part, Minister Naglaa El-Mangoush appreciated Algeria’s firm support for the security and stability of Libya, praising in the same context the historical depth and distinguished character of the Algerian-Libyan fraternal relations, as well as the promising prospects for strengthening them in response to the aspirations and hopes of the two brotherly peoples.
