Today, Monday, the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Tabouni, received a phone call from the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar al-Assad, in which he extended his congratulations and those of the brotherly Syrian people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
And the statement stated: “Today, the President of the Republic, Abdel Majid Tabouni, received a phone call from his brother, His Excellency the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Bashar Al-Asadi, in which he offered him his congratulations and those of the brotherly Syrian people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.”
For his part, “The President of the Republic exchanged congratulations on his behalf and on behalf of the Algerian people on the occasion of the holy month.”
On this occasion – the statement adds – “His Excellency President Bashar al-Assad briefed the President of the Republic on the situation in Syria and the events taking place around it, once again his sincere thanks to the Algerian leadership and people for standing by Syria in the ordeal of the earthquake that struck it weeks ago.”
The two presidents also exchanged “visions on the strong and solid bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples,” according to the statement.
