The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ammar Belani, received today, Monday, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Algeria, Chaker Atallah Al-Amoush.
The meeting constituted an opportunity for the two parties to review the bilateral relations and to confirm the common desire of the leadership of the two brotherly countries to enhance the positive dynamism that characterized the bilateral cooperation in recent times.
In this regard, the two sides noted the qualitative shift in the Algerian-Jordanian relations, following the state visit that King Abdullah bin Al Hussein of Jordan made to Algeria on December 03 and 04, 2022, and the important decisions that resulted, including the signing of several agreements that allowed laying the foundations for future cooperation in Promising fields such as the pharmaceutical industries, tourism, energy and phosphates, as well as training and training in the military field. In this regard, the two parties stressed the need for good preparation for the ninth session of the joint committee, to be held in Amman next June, in order to preserve and enhance this positive dynamic in the future.
In the same context, the Secretary-General thanked his interlocutor for the great interest that the Jordanian authorities attach to increasing cooperation with Algeria, which was evident in the extensive visits paid by high-level Jordanian officials and representatives of many different sectors to Algeria, indicating that the Algerian authorities highly appreciate this. Endeavor, share and affirm it on the basis of the fraternal relations that have always brought together the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and its efforts aimed at strengthening joint Arab action within the framework of its vision of uniting the nation and immunizing it against the grave dangers posed by the severe polarization that the world is witnessing.
On the other hand, the two sides exchanged insights and analyzes on many regional and international issues of common interest, foremost of which are the great challenges facing the Palestinian cause in light of the widespread and systematic violations practiced by the Israeli occupation against the defenseless Palestinian people, and its insistence on ending the two-state solution through Unilateral and racist measures contrary to international legitimacy and international law, aimed at changing the nature of the land and obliterating the identity of the people in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The two sides also expressed their satisfaction with the positive trend in Syria’s relations with many brotherly Arab countries. In this regard, the Secretary-General recalled the relentless endeavors made by Algeria under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to enable sisterly Syria to return to its Arab embrace, and in this regard renewed Algeria’s demand to enable the Syrian Arab Republic to occupy its seat in the Arab League and Play its pioneering and original role within the system of joint Arab action.
