Yesterday, Wednesday, the first meeting of the Algerian-French joint committee for history and memory was held via remote technology.
The Presidency of the Republic stated, in a statement, that the Algerian side submitted a working paper in accordance with the basic principles contained in the Algeria statement signed on August 27, 2022 between the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.

The source pointed out that it was agreed to address all issues related to the colonial period, resistance and the glorious war of liberation.
It was also agreed to continue consultations and contacts in order to develop a future work program, with the identification of the next meetings of the joint committee.
