Parties and associations strongly condemn the content of the European Parliament’s regulation on freedom of expression in Algeria – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Today, Friday, political parties and associations denounced the European Parliament’s regulation on freedom of expression in Algeria, considering what came in its content as a “slippage and blatant interference” in Algeria’s internal affairs.
In this regard, the National Liberation Front party expressed its “strong dissatisfaction” with the “misleading and fallacies” included in the European Parliament’s regulation, which are far from the reality of the political course in Algeria and what is witnessed in the field of freedoms, associative and trade union activity, and the media and human rights scene in terms of openness, freedom and respect for human rights.
And the party considered that this list is “insolence and blatant interference in the internal affairs of Algeria, on the part of a foreign party that set itself up as the guardian of a free and independent state and a woman who rejects all external dictates from any party, whatever it is,” adding that the Algerian people “who paid millions of martyrs against those who violated His freedom, dignity and right to life, he alone has the right to judge his country’s policies and acknowledge his present and future, and he absolutely refuses to grant the European Parliament or others (…) the freedom to judge what is happening in Algeria through a provocative, selective and non-objective list.
In the same context, the National Liberation Front party indicated that the regulation “deliberately overlooks, for malicious, offensive and distortionary purposes, what Algeria is witnessing under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Mr.
For its part, the Future Front condemned what was stated in the European Parliament’s statement, considering it “interference in the internal affairs of an independent and fully sovereign state.”
The party added that it was “supposed with this parliament to start with the problems of its member states or the countries and peoples that are still under the brunt of colonialism, such as the two brotherly peoples, the Palestinian and the Sahrawi,” considering what was stated in the list’s content as “not another event and episode in the series of conspiracies being hatched against Algeria, which are taking huge steps every day.” in all areas and fields.
In the same context, the National Council of Algerian Journalists strongly denounced the European Parliament’s “politicized” regulation on Algeria, through which it “interferes in Algerian affairs, as it tried before to interfere in the affairs of many developing countries with the aim of achieving hegemony and influencing international opinion.”

For its part, the National Observatory for Civil Society also strongly denounced “the blatant interference of the European Parliament in the internal affairs of Algeria,” stressing “its absolute rejection of everything that came in its list, which carried false allegations, wrapped up in concern for human rights and freedom of expression, while it is another failure of the will.” To undermine the image of Algeria, which has engaged in a reformist dynamic based on strengthening the values ​​of citizenship, devoting principles of governance and promoting human rights.

As for the Supreme Youth Council, in turn, it affirmed that the content of the statement issued by the European Parliament, which was based on “false information and readings,” is “a blatant interference in the internal affairs of Algeria, which has managed to “build a democratic experience that has remained difficult to follow rotten agendas.”

He added that the European Parliament’s prejudice against Algeria “will only increase it (Algeria) by sticking to the approach of change in which it has made great strides that can only be denied by an ignorant person whose narrow interests and agendas of corruption networks that controlled all its joints blinded him from noticing the qualitative leap that Algeria is making in the field of promoting freedoms and rights.” Human”.

The National Union of Algerian Journalists and Media Professionals also condemned and strongly denounced the content of the European Parliament regulation, pointing out that these “allegations” aim to “mislead” public opinion through “fallacies that have nothing to do with the truth.”

In turn, the civil society activists issued a statement denouncing the content of the European Parliament’s regulation, considering what it stated as a “blatant interference” in Algeria’s internal affairs, “a flagrant violation of Algerian sovereignty, a challenge to the popular will and a violation of all norms and traditions recognized in international relations.”

These activities indicated that the European Parliament “is accustomed to engaging directly in our internal affairs, and to do everything in its power to plunge our country into a state of chaos and insecurity, and to work to overthrow national institutions.”

The reactions condemning the European Parliament’s exit were not limited to the local level, but rather extended to the regional space of Algeria, where the African Parliament expressed its denunciation and rejection of the content of the regulation, which aims to “interfere in the internal affairs of Algeria and African countries in general.”

In the same context, the Arab Parliament also expressed its “categorical rejection and strong condemnation” of this regulation, considering it “a blatant and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Algeria, and a continuation of the unacceptable approach of similar statements issued by the European Parliament regarding human rights in Arab countries.”

The Arab Parliament affirmed its “rejection” of the “lies and misleading information” contained in the European Parliament’s statement that are not based on any facts or objective evidence.
