Algeria ranked first in the individual ranking for the male category during the 30th edition of the African Olympiad for Mathematics, which took place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 12 to 22 May 2023.
The competition included 31 African countries in this annual event of the African Mathematical Union, which is directed to the best secondary school students under 20 years old.
In this regard, Algeria participated with seven students (4 females and 3 males) who competed with 189 other students from the continent.
It is noteworthy that the event was organized by the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Rwanda, in cooperation with the Rwandan government (Education and Technology Institutions).
