The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Badari, confirmed that his interests have initiated the necessary procedures to employ holders of master’s and doctoral degrees according to several formulas.
Today, Thursday, in a plenary session of the National People’s Assembly, the minister said that the employment of master’s and doctoral degree holders will take place according to several formulas, the first of which is employment based on the certificate in positions of assistant professor, Department (B), and employment as permanent researchers, in addition to employment in the form of contracting, whether in Education or research, indicating that his interests, in coordination with the competent authorities, have begun to implement the procedures related to the employment of this group during this fiscal year and to achieve the desired results by absorbing a large number of them.
On the other hand, Kamal Badari expressed his sector’s readiness to open a wide discussion about the most appropriate formula for registration for those who succeeded in the baccalaureate degree with all actors during the next university entry, adding that the ministerial circular to guide new students includes the adoption of two modes of guidance in all fields and specializations, by relying on Weighted average and general average. He also stressed that the rate of admission to the people at the end of the academic year cannot be modified in response to the proposal to reduce the baccalaureate orientation rates for some disciplines in the southern states, and he said, “The baccalaureate certificate is unified and with a nationally unified program, and any change to that is like creating two categories of students, which creates A defect in direction and its quality. And he confirmed that a discussion will be opened with the students and their parents about how to direct the various people, starting from the next university entry, with the aim of reaching a satisfactory formula in consultation with all parties.
The minister stressed that work is underway to find mechanisms to reach an ideal university and to achieve the main goal of the quality of higher education by setting up a committee to discuss ways to achieve this. Services, once again his interest’s willingness to support academic freedom and the development of new specializations at the level of university institutions, provided that they provide an addition to the requirements of society in order to achieve prosperity.
