The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, will participate, on Saturday in Vienna (Austria), in the work of the 186th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), according to a ministry statement.
The work of this conference will be devoted to “studying issues of common interest among the members of the organization,” according to the same source.
This meeting will be followed, on Sunday, June 4, by the work of the forty-ninth (49) meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, as well as the thirty-fifth (35) ministerial meeting of OPEC and non-OPEC countries (OPEC +), in which Mr. Arkab will also participate, the statement adds.
During these meetings, the ministers in charge of oil affairs will discuss the current situation of the global oil market and prospects for its development in the short term.
