Egyptian media sources stated that the meeting, which was chaired by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates for Multilateral Relations Affairs, Ambassador Ammar Hegazy, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and the Occupied Arab Territories of the Arab League, Saeed Abu Ali, and a number of legal experts from Arab countries, falls within the framework of defining the tasks of the committee and the mechanisms for its convening. In the context, Saeed Abu Ali stressed the importance of holding the second meeting of the committee emanating from a decision of the Algiers Summit, noting that the committee’s agenda includes specific points, the most important of which is structuring the work of the committee and defining its tasks, terms of reference and mechanisms for its convening, as it discussed its basic tasks and how to follow up and implement its action plan. which we are about to discuss.
The Assistant Secretary-General said that the tasks of the committee are to provide legal support to the State of Palestine, to provide mechanisms for allocating goals and to address Israeli violations and crimes at the international levels and before the authorities of completed justice.
