Finance Minister Aziz Fayed announced today, Thursday, that the Algerian Bank in Mauritania has obtained official accreditation from the Central Bank of Mauritania, to be the second national bank to be accredited abroad, after the Algerian Senegalese Bank.
During his inauguration of the information day organized by the National Fund for Savings and Reserve “Kanab-Bank” for the benefit of economic dealers, the minister explained that the Algerian Bank in Mauritania obtains a license from the Central Bank of Mauritania to start work, and the Algerian Bank in Mauritania is the second national bank to obtain accreditation abroad after That the “Bank Algeria Senegalese” was approved by the Senegalese monetary authorities, last April, which is the first time that an Algerian bank outside the country has been accredited.
These two Algerian banks are being established by four public banks, namely the National Bank of Algeria, the Algerian Popular Loan, the Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development, in addition to the Foreign Bank of Algeria, while work is underway to open the Algerian International Foreign Bank in France.
