About 640 national and foreign exhibitors will participate in the 54th edition of the Algiers International Fair, which will open its doors today, Tuesday, until June 25, at the Palais des Expositions Pins el-Bahari, under the slogan “Algeria: New Vision and New Horizons.”
Italy will be the guest of honor for the new edition of this important economic event, organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The international exhibition will open its pavilions to 473 Algerian and 165 foreign institutions representing thirty countries. This concerns Turkey, Belarus, Jordan, Germany, Cameroon, Syria, Cuba, France, Senegal, Pakistan, Italy, Iran, Ghana, Tunisia, Mali, Palestine, Vietnam, Brazil, Bangladesh, Niger, Mauritania, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mozambique, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Libya and Egypt. As for China and Russia, they share individual pavilions.
Italy, as the guest of honor, will be represented by 13 exhibiting institutions, while Jordan comes at the forefront of foreign participation with 25 institutions, followed by Turkey (22), Iran (12), Pakistan (11) and Palestine with 10 participating institutions.
In addition to foreign institutions, there will be 473 national exhibitors distributed among 157 public institutions and 316 private institutions active in electronic and electrical industries, household electrical equipment, food industries, services, chemical and petrochemical industries, mechanics, handicrafts, construction and public works.
The Ministry of National Defense will also participate in this exhibition with about 15 institutions on an area estimated at 3068 square meters.
The exhibition covers a total area of 24,993 square meters, of which about 2,000 square meters is for the exhibiting foreign institutions, compared to an area of 23,730 square meters during the previous edition of the event.
It is noteworthy that the official opening of the exhibition will be today by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
