Tizi Ouzou.. Interstate street theater art forum – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Under the supervision of the Minister of Culture and Arts, Souria Mologi, and within the framework of cultural exchange between the states, the Directorate of Culture and Arts of the wilaya of Tizi Ouzou organized the Interstate Street Arts Forum in the coastal city of Tigzirt, from 17 to 21 June –

The program of the forum, which was hosted by the port of Tigzirt and several villages of the wilaya, included many diverse artistic performances and monodramas for the participating street theater groups from seven states, such as the Boudarqa theater troupe from El Bayadh state, the Skamela theater association from Tipaza, the Mouja troupe of the wilaya of Mostaganem, and the Sheila association from Bejaia, And a group from Algiers, and the Tizi Ouzou theater camp and associations, including the Irathen Cultural Association and the Thala Association for Dramatic Arts. In addition to shows directed to children, such as shows by the magician and the clown.

The aim of this artistic forum, which brought together many artists and cultural associations as well as specialists in this field, is to promote cultural exchange between the states, instill a culture of street theater art in society, and highlight Algerian talents and the aesthetics of this art that takes performance to streets, markets and gardens, and turns public places into theaters. Huge for fans who enjoy watching the show.

The program of the forum also included an artistic residency marked by “street theater, from idea to performance, in addition to discussion sessions on art and culture and their role in society, supervised by specialists in the theater who provided several directions to the participants, and emphasized that returning to our cultural and artistic heritage and folk rituals is considered It is very important in theatrical arts, especially street theatre. The return to the open space is also of great importance in building the show according to the place, as it contributes to enhancing creativity and innovation in theatrical performances.
