The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Basic Facilities, Lakhdar Rakhroukh, and the Minister of Irrigation, Taha Derbal, chaired today, Monday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, a coordination and follow-up meeting between sectors for projects related to the development and valuation of the iron mine in Gara Jbeilat, similar to projects Infrastructure and the needs of transformation and treatment vehicles (in the provinces of Bechar and Oran) in terms of rail transport, water supply, electricity and natural gas.

This meeting was formed, which took place in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Irrigation, the President General Manager of Sonaram Complex (formerly Algeria Mines), the President General Director of the National Iron and Steel Company, the President of the General Director of the National Company for Railway Transport, in addition to representatives of ministries Industry, pharmaceutical production, transport, irrigation, public works and basic installations, the National Agency for Studies and Follow-up of Investments in Railways, as well as executives from the Ministry of Energy and Mines, an opportunity to discuss various aspects and technical and logistical proposals submitted by various sectors, to meet the needs of investment projects programmed within the framework of the development and valuation of a mine Iron in Ghara Jbeilat, especially with regard to the transfer of iron ores from the wilaya of Tindouf to the wilaya of Bechar, the provision of water, gas and electricity for the needs of conversion and processing vehicles at the level of the wilaya of Bechar, as well as the transfer of manufactured and semi-finished materials to the north.

On this occasion, the ministers unanimously agreed on the importance of these projects and on the essential and pivotal role played by these sectors to embody them, and on the necessity of concerted efforts through permanent and continuous coordination among them in order to study all proposals and ways to provide all relevant requirements necessary for them in the short term. medium and far.
