39 deaths by drowning since the beginning of June – Al-Hiwar, Algeria

The Civil Protection Department has counted the death of 39 people from drowning in beaches and water complexes since the beginning of last June.

The death toll rose this morning, Tuesday, with the finding of the body of the missing person at sea in Qeeq Beach, Center 4, Al-Arabi Ben M’hidi Beach, in the state of Skikda, at 07:43 am, after 4 days of searching, as the search operation began since the 1st of July at 20:33 am.

According to a statement by the General Directorate of Civil Protection, the victim is a 19-year-old male from the province of Guelma, bringing the total number of deaths since June 1 until this morning to 39, including 14 in beaches and 25 in water bodies.
