The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed, on Wednesday in Algiers, that the housing sector has become in line with the demographic development in Algeria, through the delivery of new housing for the youth category.
And the President of the Republic said, during his supervision of laying the foundation stone for the completion of the project of 14,442 housing units in the form of rent sale (justice) at the level of the wilaya of Algeria: “I am certain that there is no one in the world who has completed housing programs and distributed them like what Algeria did.”
In the same context, he explained that the slums had been eliminated, especially at the level of the capital, Algiers, and that the housing units had become handed over to young people aged between 25 and 26 years, “while the average age in 2013, with the launch of the Adl 2 programs, reached 55 years.” This confirms that the housing sector – as he said – has become today “keeping pace with the demographic development in Algeria.”
The President of the Republic also praised the completion of new cities, such as Bouinan and Sidi Abdallah, and their support with the necessary facilities, as well as the pace of completion of various housing programs.
He added that with the launch of the housing programs in 2013, the process was carried out by “importing building materials due to the crisis”, but today “I say with pride that the implementation of housing has become 100 percent Algerian with building materials and an Algerian workforce.”
And the President of the Republic indicated that the Ministry of Housing is “the first ministerial department to use digitization in registering, studying and following up citizens’ requests,” calling on those in charge of this sector to “continue efforts to materialize the remaining projects.”
