Government meeting.. Opening the capital of public banks and digitizing the interests of the financial sector at the core of the works – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Today, Thursday, the Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdelrahman, chaired a government meeting devoted to presenting presentations related to the digitization of the financial sector, the progress of opening the capital of public banks, the launch of new university formations in the field of green hydrogen, as well as the progress made in the file related to the establishment of free zones.
At the outset of the meeting held at the Government Palace, the government listened to a joint presentation by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Digitization and Statistics on the progress of the project to digitize the financial sector, especially the tax, customs and national property departments.
During this presentation, the progress made in the various projects registered within the framework of digitizing the interests of the financial sector was reviewed, as well as the efforts and human and material resources devoted to embodying the road map ruled by the public authorities.
In this regard, a permanent follow-up mechanism has been developed in order to embody the first phase within the specified deadlines, especially the launch of various digital platforms that will provide greater facilities for depositing and receiving digital documents and electronic payment of various royalties and fees by providing public services via the Internet to citizens and professionals.
The Minister of Finance also made a presentation on the progress of opening the capital of public banks. This project falls within the framework of adapting this sector, which is the pillar of the national economy, to international changes in this field, as it aims to improve the effectiveness of the bank’s management and strengthen its governance, and contribute to establishing investor confidence in the market, as well as revitalizing the stock exchange and reviving its activity with the aim of increasing its contribution. In mobilizing savings and financing the economy.

Launching new university formations in the field of green hydrogen
On the other hand, the government listened to a presentation by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on launching new university formations in the field of green hydrogen.
The presentation revolved around a project to create university training in the field of green hydrogen in the form of a thematic network, while ensuring continuous training for the benefit of workers of economic enterprises.
It should be noted that this project concerns some universities and specialized higher schools, in cooperation with foreign university institutions.
Finally, the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion gave a presentation on the progress made in the file related to the establishment of free zones, enshrined in Law No. 22-15 of July 20, 2022, which defines the rules governing free zones.
In this regard, the presentation centered on direct actions within the framework of the embodiment of the approved endeavor to establish free zones, in accordance with the set priorities, as well as the measures taken in order to take care of some difficulties and adapt this endeavor, by drawing on new successful experiences at the regional and international levels in this field.
