The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Monday, at the ministry’s headquarters, Mamadou Aliou Jallow, Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau to Algeria.
The talks between the two parties focused on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation relations in the field of energy and mines, which are described as brotherhood.
On this occasion, the minister referred to Algeria’s desire to consolidate relations between the two countries and intensify exchanges with African countries.
The two parties also discussed the expertise that the sector can provide in terms of training executives and technicians from Guinea-Bissau in the energy fields, as well as discussing opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of research and exploration for hydrocarbons (upstream and downstream), electricity and petroleum materials. The minister affirmed Algeria’s readiness to support the Republic of Guinea-Bissau through training and the transfer of its know-how and expertise in these fields.
