During a technical meeting, yesterday, Thursday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, which was devoted to preparing for laying the foundation stone for the Media City in compliance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the study offices in charge of engineering the Media City presented several proposals for preliminary design projects for this city.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Housing, the preliminary design projects will be presented to a committee that will be formed from several ministerial sectors and assigned the task of selecting the final design according to the book of conditions.
The statement of the government meeting held regarding the project to implement a media city DZAIR Media CITY with the participation of the Ministers of Housing and Communication confirmed that this large project aims to upgrade the audiovisual sector in Algeria, through the completion of a comprehensive and integrated facility that includes the most important actors and media activities, specifically represented in Studios of public and private television and radio channels, and simultaneous transmission that guarantees broadcasting via the latest technological platforms with a large data center based on artificial intelligence, a project that allows for the provision of a professional environment based on international standards and standards, and encourages the practice of audiovisual activity through better quality of television services A radio station capable of contributing to the promotion of Algeria’s image.
It is also planned to establish a free zone to host the platforms of international dealers of social networks that will use this bridge to deliver their contents to Africa, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.
