A memorandum of understanding was signed between Algeria and Tunisia in the field of supporting start-up enterprises between the two countries, on the sidelines of the first African Conference for Start-up Enterprises, which was held in Algeria yesterday and the day before yesterday. Bin Naji.
This memorandum aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties by developing programs for exchanging experiences, networking incubators of institutions and accompanying structures of the two countries, and enhancing the presence of emerging institutions within the framework of the policy aimed at opening markets and giving young entrepreneurs the necessary privileges to develop their projects and spread locally and globally.
The conference, which is organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Small Enterprises at the International Conference Center “Abdel Latif Rahal” in Algeria, is attended by ministers of African countries, representatives of international and continental bodies concerned with developing the field of emerging enterprises and innovation, experts and actors in the African ecosystem.
This conference, the first of its kind on the continent, aspires to “unify governmental efforts aimed at strengthening the role of emerging enterprises in Africa and dedicating their contribution to economic development, whether through exchanging experiences between countries on public policies established in this regard, or by facilitating the spread of emerging enterprises to gain access to Regional sources of financing and investing more and more within the African space.
The conference program included an exhibition of startups from various African countries, and panel discussions organized by international experts on a number of issues related to the problems facing innovative African youth and the capabilities that the continent has in the digital field and the future of entrepreneurship in Africa.
