The advisor at the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ahmed Zayed, confirmed that the prices of the “FIAT” car brand, which were recently introduced and described by citizens as high, are subject to supply and demand, and that their rise is not limited to the Algerian market only, revealing the possibility of their decrease after the entry of other car brands.
In the same context, Ahmed Zayed revealed, during his stay as a guest today, Tuesday, on Radio One, that the Ministry of Industry had granted three accreditations by a specialized committee to three agents of industrial brands for cars, namely “FIAT. OPEL.GAC” pending further final approvals for other brands over the next few weeks.
The same consultant stated that the production of cars of the “FIAT” brand in the Oran plant is in its final stages and will start in the next few months.
The spokesman added that many applications were received in order to grant accreditation, but they were rejected due to the sector’s insistence on holding direct talks with the owner of the original mark, with the aim of ensuring technological development on the part of the original factory.
The advisor at the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production confirmed that the car manufactured in Algeria is prohibited from being imported and that priority is given to the national product, as all procedures for its acquisition are facilitated.
Ahmed Zayed considered that the industry sector is a locomotive on which the government relies for economic growth by creating job positions in various sectors.
