Al-Asoumi: Algeria’s victory in the non-permanent membership of the Security Council is a qualitative addition to Arab diplomacy – Algerian Dialogue

Adel bin Abd al-Rahman al-Assoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, congratulated the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria as president, government, people and parliament, on the occasion of its election today in the United Nations General Assembly, as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the years 2024 and 2025, praising Algeria for obtaining 184 votes in the General Assembly, to occupy one of the 10 seats. to the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Al-Assoumi stressed that this victory reflects Algeria’s position at the Arab and international level, noting that it is a well-deserved victory, expressing his confidence that Algeria will be a strong voice in support of all Arab issues in the Security Council, as this victory represents a qualitative addition to Arab diplomacy at the international level.
Al-Assoumi expressed the appreciation of the Arab Parliament for the relentless efforts made by the Republic of Algeria under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in defending the issues of the Arab nation and protecting the interests of the great Arab people.
