Algeria joins the countries of the world in celebrating World Intellectual Property Day, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property and its decisive role in the advancement and progress of nations, encouraging creativity and promoting innovation based on it.
This year, the World Intellectual Property Organization chose the slogan “Women and Intellectual Property: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity”, with the aim of motivating female inventors and entrepreneurs, and emphasizing that their exceptional creativity contributes to building a better future.
On the occasion, Samir Thaalbi, Director General of the National Office of Copyright and Related Rights, confirmed that, as a leading public institution concerned with the culture industry and the protection of thought, it provides its full support to creators in the fields of intellectual property in compliance with the international agreements ratified by Algeria and in implementation of the national governing legislation and decrees issued by its institutions. different, by establishing a new, more effective and more intensive communication strategy aimed at introducing the Bureau’s services and aiming to spread awareness among members of society.
