Algeria provided 96 tons of foodstuffs to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The gift presented by Algeria to sister Mauritania was 96 tons of various foodstuffs, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, pasta and vegetables.

In the same context, the Algerian ambassador to Mauritania, Mohamed Benatou, highlighted that the gift, represented by a significant amount of various foodstuffs, comes within the framework of strengthening brotherly relations and solidarity between the two brotherly countries.

He added that this assistance also comes as an expression of Algeria’s solidarity and standing by Mauritania, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, praising the brotherly relations and cooperation existing between the two brotherly countries.

For her part, the Director of Urgent Aid, in a statement to the Mauritanian News Agency, expressed her sincere thanks to the Algerian government and people for this valuable gift on the occasion of the holy month, adding that this support falls within the framework of the existing brotherly and cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries, in response to the aspiration of their leaders to strengthen and strengthen these relations. .
