The Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies, Samia Mawalfi, received the Parliamentary Secretary of State at the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection, Franziska Brantner, where the two parties discussed mechanisms for developing and strengthening partnership in the field of renewable energies.
During this meeting, which took place yesterday evening, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters, on the sidelines of the German official’s visit to Algeria to participate in the fourth edition of the Algerian-German Energy Day, “the experience of international cooperation with the German side in the field of renewable energies was presented and mechanisms for developing and strengthening partnership between the two countries were discussed.” according to the same source.
The two parties also discussed, the statement adds, the issue of adopting the post-2020 biodiversity framework, on the sidelines of the work of the Conference of the Parties on the “COP 15” file, which was held in Canada.
Mrs. Mawalfi stressed the need for industrialized countries to abide by their obligations, especially financial ones, in the framework of combating the dangers of climate change.
