The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohammad Arkab, received today, Thursday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, Mohammad Reza Babaei, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Algeria.
The two sides reviewed the state of cooperation and partnership relations between the two countries, which were described as excellent, and the prospects for their development.
The two parties insisted on the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy and mines, and to explore business opportunities and future prospects for investment in structural projects in Algeria, especially in the fields of research and exploration of hydrocarbons, and the development of the petrochemical and electricity industries. The two sides also discussed other aspects of cooperation related to the exchange of experiences and cooperation between the two countries in the field of mining in Algeria, especially research, exploitation and production of mineral resources.
On this occasion, the minister referred with satisfaction to the relations of cooperation and good partnership between Algerian and Iranian companies, calling on them to develop mutually beneficial partnerships that focus on projects that integrate mastery of production techniques, transfer of knowledge, experience and training.
The two sides also welcomed the level of dialogue and consultation within OPEC and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum with the aim of contributing to the stability of oil and gas markets.
The Iranian ambassador expressed his great satisfaction with the relations of cooperation between the companies of the two countries, and expressed the interest of Iranian companies in strengthening their presence in Algeria.
