An Algerian partnership with the Qatari “Investment Holding” group in the field of health – Al-Hiwar Algeria

The Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saihi, received today, Tuesday, in a hearing session at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Algeria, Abdel Aziz bin Ali Ahmed Nehme, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Elegancia Health Care” affiliated to the Investment Holding Group, Mohamed Moataz Al-Khayyat, in the presence of executives from the central administration.

At the beginning of this meeting, the minister congratulated the leadership and people of the State of Qatar on the success it achieved through the perfect and perfect organization of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, indicating that its distinguished organization will remain a source of pride for every Arab and a symbol of magnanimity, fraternity, generosity and generosity. Arabs wishing more successes and brilliance for the State of Qatar.

The minister also reaffirmed the depth of cooperation and brotherhood relations between the two countries, which will be further strengthened in the future in light of the partnership and cooperation projects to be completed between the two countries in all fields, including the health sector.

In this context, the minister highlighted the great importance attached to the Qatari-Algerian-German hospital project, whose work will start in the coming days, indicating that it constitutes a new building block in strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and an outcome of the directives of the leadership of both countries.

The minister also added that the health system in Algeria will be strengthened by this health edifice, as the intractable cases that required treatment outside Algeria will be fully taken care of.

The minister expressed Algeria’s keenness to invest in creating medical poles for different categories of patients.

For his part, Mohamed Moataz Al-Khayyat thanked the Algerian government for the efforts it made to provide the infrastructure on which the new hospital project will be built, referring to the imminent signing of the final memorandum of agreement for the project according to the required technical card based on the new investment law in Algeria, which he said will enhance It facilitates and opens wide partnerships in all areas of investment in various sectors, including the health field

Mohamed Moataz Al-Khayyat was keen to confirm that the new hospital, which reflects the good relations between Algeria and Qatar, is a quantum leap for the health sector in Algeria and Africa, as it is the largest hospital in Africa in terms of the medical competencies that it will have, as well as the specialties that it will provide.

And Muhammad Moataz Al-Khayyat spoke about a project to establish a school that includes training and qualification for various medical personnel with the aim of raising their level in line with global developments in the field of health.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed on the importance of the new Qatari-Algerian-German hospital project, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
