The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Ali Aoun, threatened the pharmaceutical factories with the calculation, after it became clear that the production quantities were not commensurate with the money invested and the number of workers in them.
On the sidelines of a field visit to the “Tafco” company in the capital, the minister considered that the lack of keenness of the partners, including “Saydal” in “Tafco”, to their capital, is called a waste of public funds, and officials deserve accountability. And he said in a press conference, “Why are Saidal and the partners not keen on its capital ….this is a waste of public money,” considering that the failure of the company’s board of directors to meet for a long time is considered negligence and has its meaning in the legal dictionary. Ali Aoun stressed in his speech, in the presence of the partners in this company, “The time has come for me to demand that every one of you be held accountable.” And he added, “If the previous ones closed their eyes, then I will open four eyes,” stressing that things will not continue like this, and this partnership, which Algeria did not benefit from, will be reviewed, and he said, “You are a company with shares and under Algerian law we are required to claim production if we do not get benefits.” We just sell it.”
Ali Aoun stressed that it is unreasonable to continue losing money at a very low production rate while it was agreed upon to cover half of the needs of the Algerian market, and he said, “There are things that the mind does not accept … Do you see Algeria as a market or as a partner? In the market.” The minister emphasized that all pharmaceutical factories are currently under the microscope, and everyone who does not follow the ministry’s directives must shoulder his responsibilities.
