Arkab meets the director of the Italian “Eni” and Jorgensen on the sidelines of the “Ceraweek” conference in Houston – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Within the framework of his participation in the activities of the 41st edition of the energy conference “CERAWeek 2023”, “CERAWeek 2023”, which will be held from 06 to 10 March 2023 in Houston, Texas, USA.

The talks focused on the ongoing projects between Sonatrach and Eni in the field of hydrocarbons, as well as investment opportunities in the field of increasing the volume of natural gas production, as well as in the field of electrical interconnection with Europe through Italy, in addition to discussing other cooperation opportunities in the field of new and renewable energies.

The Minister also had a meeting with the Director General of Energy in the European Commission, Ms. Ditti Juul Jorgensen, where the two sides discussed the status of the cooperation relationship between Algeria and the European Union in the field of energy and renewable energies, as well as investment opportunities, especially in the field of hydrocarbons, electrical and gas interconnection with Europe, As well as enhancing cooperation to reduce emissions, capture carbon, and develop and export hydrogen.
