The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Tuesday in Algiers, the President of the Algerian-American Business Council, Ismael Chikhoun, with whom they discussed ways and prospects for strengthening cooperation relations between companies in the sector and American companies in the field of energy and mines, according to a ministry statement.
The talks, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, focused on “the state of cooperation relations between companies in the sector and American companies in the field of energy and mines, as well as prospects for strengthening and developing trade and investment relations, especially in the fields of hydrocarbons, petrochemicals, new and renewable energies, and mines,” the statement added.
The statement added that during this meeting, preparations for the Algerian-American business forum on investment, to be held in Washington from October 10 to 12, 2023, were discussed, which will be attended by a large delegation comprising senior officials in the energy and mining sector, with the aim of discussing, with the American party, A group of issues of common interest.
