The Minister of National Education, Professor Abdelhakim Belabed, chaired this morning, Thursday, a national symposium from the Ministry’s headquarters in Mouradia, via videoconference technology. It was attended by executives from the central administration and directors of education. Its works were devoted exclusively to examining the heating situation in educational institutions.
In this regard, the minister recalled the outcomes of the national symposium that was held on July 12 and 13, 2022, in which he stressed the need to start inspections, restoration and maintenance of various facilities and equipment, especially heating and weatherproofing, before the onset of winter.
Accordingly, the Minister gave strict instructions to the directors of education, to take care of the recorded deficiencies in coordination with the local authorities, under the supervision of the governors of the Republic, in order to take practical measures to intervene according to the nature of the registered deficiencies, while taking all applicable safety, security and precautionary measures to protect our students from any danger. And this is no later than next Saturday evening, and a detailed preliminary situation is prepared that includes the measures taken for what has been diagnosed, which will be the subject of discussion in the symposium scheduled for six o’clock in the evening.
The Minister also instructed the General Inspector of National Education to follow up the process by having the inspectors carry out inspection visits across educational institutions during this period.
