The Minister of Housing, Urbanism and the City, Mohamed Tariq Belaaribi, announced that one million units will be distributed before 2024 of various formats.
In an interview on public television, which will be broadcast today, the minister said that the housing sector witnessed the embodiment of huge programs between the years 2020 and 2022 that allowed the distribution of more than 920,000 housing units.
Belaribi also stressed that his sector seeks to raise this number to one million units before 2024. More than 2,200 public supplies were delivered between 2020 and 2022.
The minister stated in the same interview that the number of housing under construction is currently estimated at 700,000 units of various formats. This is according to the program outlined within the framework of the Finance Law for 2023, which is estimated at 225,000 housing units. The total number of housing under construction will rise to one million units. With the launch of the program, which will be governed within the framework of the Finance Law for the year 2024.
The minister pointed to the importance of the major distribution of housing, which will be launched on July 5, on the occasion of Independence and Youth Day, at the level of all states of the country.
