Belgium’s Anderlecht sign Algerian international Islam Soleimani – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazairia

Anderlecht, the Belgian football club, announced today, Wednesday, that it has signed a contract with Algerian international striker Islam Slimani until the end of the current season.

A statement published by the red team on its official website said: “Anderlecht Club is pleased to announce the inclusion of Islam Soleimani from Brest, France, with a contract that extends until the end of the current season.”

The Belgian club, which is among the oldest clubs in Europe, added: “Islam Soleimani previously played in major clubs such as Sporting Lisbon, Leicester City, Monaco and Fenerbahce, and scored 134 goals with those clubs,” explaining that “Soleimani is the best scorer in Algeria’s history with 42 goals in 89 matches. match”.

The Algerian striker (34 years old) signed a contract with the French club Brest in August 2022 for a period of one renewable season, but he was unable to adapt to the club, as he scored only one goal in 16 matches in the first French League Championship.
