The Prime Minister, Ayman bin Abdelrahman, chaired today, Wednesday, at the Government Palace, a meeting of the government devoted to studying and presenting many files related to the sectors of justice, agriculture, the pharmaceutical industry, and statistics.
Within this framework, the government studied three draft executive decrees related to defining the organization of regional schools for the training of lawyers and the modalities of their functioning, canceling the classification of a plot of land belonging to the forest of national property in Oulad Zayed in the municipality of Oulad Idriss (province of Souk Ahras) destined for the realization of an electrical center, as well as the executive decree related to the modalities for approving requirements medical.
The draft executive decree defining the organization of regional schools for the training of lawyers and the modalities of their functioning, submitted by the Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, comes in implementation of the provisions of Law No. 13-07 of October 29, 2013, which regulates the legal profession. It provides for a flexible organization and functioning pattern in line with these schools, with the involvement of the National Federation of Lawyers’ Organizations and taking into account the basic position of the lawyer in the judicial system and in the field of enshrining the right to defence, which is constitutionally recognized.
In this regard, these schools will mainly assume the task of ensuring the specialized training of lawyers students, in order to obtain a certificate of competence for the legal profession, as well as the continuous training of lawyers in activity and improving their level.

On the other hand, the Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry presented a draft executive decree amending Executive Decree No. 20-324 of November 22, 2020 related to the methods of approving medical supplies, which grants an extension for a period of 24 months to enable the continued marketing of medical devices that do not have approval decisions, with the aim of Ensuring the availability of these relevant medical devices in the national market and thus ensuring the smooth functioning of health institutions and better care for patients.
It is worth noting that this extension will be accompanied by several appropriate framework and control measures and mechanisms to ensure that the medical devices offered on the market at the national level comply with international standards and standards, pending their approval by the National Agency for Pharmaceuticals.
On the other hand, the government listened to two proposals. This is a presentation on the outcome of the implementation of the Sixth General Census of Population and Housing, which took place from September 25 to October 16, 2022. This outcome includes an evaluation of the first results related to the resident population and housing stock in Algeria. In this regard, preliminary and partial results derived from information collected from families were presented, while the results of the second phase are expected to appear within three months to provide more detailed information on the population’s demographic situation, structure and composition, in addition to a set of data related to living conditions. .
