Bentaleb holds talks with the Director General of the International Labor Organization in Geneva – Al-Hiwar Algeria

On Friday, June 16, 2023, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Faisal bin Taleb, held talks with the Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Hongbo, on the sidelines of the 111th session of the International Labor Conference, currently held in Geneva, Switzerland.

On this occasion, Minister Bentaleb congratulated Gilbert Hongbo on his election as Director General of the International Labor Organization, expressing his satisfaction with the level of relations between Algeria and the International Labor Organization.

In this regard, the minister praised what has been achieved within the framework of cooperation between Algeria and the organization in the fields of work, employment and social security, especially with regard to the programs that have been implemented within the framework of the partnership between the two parties.

For his part, the Director General of the International Labor Organization valued the good relations between the organization and Algeria in areas of common interest, stressing the organization’s full readiness to support and enhance this cooperation in the future.

The meeting was attended by the President of the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Mohamed Bouchnak Kheladi, and the President of the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises, Saida Naghza, in addition to the Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Africa of the organization, Cynthia Samuel Olongwan.
