Ammar Blani, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, paid a working visit to the Romanian capital, Bucharest, on Monday.
This meeting, which is considered a resumption of contacts within the framework of the cooperation mechanisms established by the two countries following the Covid-19 epidemic, was an opportunity to address the reality of relations between the two parties and ways to enhance cooperation and bilateral exchanges. Views were also exchanged on international and regional issues of common concern.
Before holding these consultations, the Secretary-General of the Ministry spoke with the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bogdan Lucian Aurescu, who affirmed on this occasion his firm determination to work to strengthen relations between the two countries, given the great opportunities offered by bilateral cooperation between them.
During his visit to Bucharest, Blani also held talks with the Secretary General of the Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization, Mr. Constantin Saragia, during which the two parties agreed to develop cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of innovation, digitization, new information and communication technologies and emerging institutions.
At the end of this visit, Ammar Blani was received by the Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania, Mr. Vazel Daniel Susiu, where the two officials exchanged views on current international issues. The two parties, who have demonstrated their strong will to strengthen bilateral relations, have confirmed the interest they attach to strengthening cooperation in the parliamentary field, particularly through the establishment of an Algerian-Romanian Parliamentary Friendship Group.
