According to the details it published on its website, Air Algérie decided to temporarily award its deal for the acquisition of 15 new aircraft, to the aircraft manufacturing companies “Boeing” and “Airbus”. The company awarded the medium-capacity aircraft deal to the American company “Boeing”, which will provide Air Algérie with 8 B737-9 Max aircraft (170-210 seat capacity).

The large-capacity aircraft deal was awarded to the European company “Airbus”, which will provide Air Algérie with 5 A330-900 aircraft with a capacity of 280-320 seats and two other aircraft of the type A350-1000 with a capacity of 350-450 seats.

And Air Algerie confirmed that these results came “in line with the procedure for concluding deals for the S.A.E / S.A.A. Air Algerie”, following the consultation No. 01/AH-DG/2022, related to the acquisition of 15 aircraft. New. And she referred to another launch, an international consultation directed exclusively to leasing companies, air transport companies and manufacturers who have licenses (credits, certificates or other documents) aimed at operational leasing of a fleet of up to 10 civil and commercial transport aircraft, of which 6 are large-capacity aircraft.
