Boghali receives the President of the Palestinian National Council – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Ibrahim Bogali, Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, received today, Wednesday, Rawhi Ahmed Fattouh, President of the Palestinian National Council, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting took place in the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Algeria.

The two sides also praised the quality of the solid and strong relations between the two brotherly countries, and stressed the need to work to find more mechanisms and ways to upgrade them to the highest levels. In his welcoming speech, the President of the People’s Assembly, Boghali, renewed the reminder of Algeria’s firm, conditional, and historical position towards the Palestinian cause, and its keenness to support the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle, one of which was embodied in the signing of the Palestinian factions on the historic “Algeria Declaration” for Palestinian reunification and reconciliation.

Whereas, the President of the Council appreciated the United Nations’ commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba, and also praised the outcomes of the 32nd Arab Summit, which culminated in the “Jeddah Declaration”, which urged the continuation of the implementation of the “Algeria Declaration” roadmap. Which emphasized the centrality of the Palestinian cause. As well as the return of Syria to the Arab League. In this regard, Boghali reiterated Algeria’s keenness to support everything that would enhance joint Arab action. Respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs.

In the same context, the President of the Council continued, stressing Algeria’s readiness to harness all its efforts to mobilize the necessary support for the State of Palestine to obtain full membership in the United Nations.

For his part, Fattouh expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the Algerian people and government to the State of Palestine. He also saluted President Abdel Majeed Tebboune’s keenness to sponsor the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba. He described it as successful on all levels. Meanwhile, he expressed his hope to complete the implementation of the Palestinian reunification document. He thanked the efforts of the National People’s Assembly deputies.
