Bouslimani calls on the national press to create a media movement to promote Algeria’s image around the world – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryia

Today, Friday, the Minister of Communications, Mohamed Bouslimani of Ghardaïa Province, called on national media professionals to mobilize their efforts and create a media movement with the aim of promoting Algeria’s image throughout the world.

During his visit to the radio and television broadcasting station in Ghardaïa within the framework of the second and last day of his visit to the wilaya, the Minister urged “national media professionals to recruit more for their efforts and create a media movement with the aim of promoting Algeria’s image across the world,” highlighting in the same context “the importance of strengthening and promoting Algeria’s image abroad and conveying the voice of our country.” To the Algerian community residing abroad.

In the same context, Mr. Bouslimani affirmed that “the right to information is constitutionally guaranteed for every Algerian,” adding, “It is of great importance to allow the Algerian citizen to access information wherever he is and wherever he is, which requires – as the minister indicated – “intensifying the efforts of the various stakeholders, including radio, television and stations.” Broadcasting, to ensure the media of my neighbors with the aim of enabling citizens to contribute to the development of the country.

And he stated that “the coverage of broadcasting, whether for television or radio, across the entire national territory, especially at the level of the southern borders, is guaranteed, and therefore it is our duty to convey to the outside the sound and image of our country, its development and capabilities,” before adding, “It is unacceptable to receive programs of foreign channels in exchange for not Our channels enable our programs to be broadcast abroad to promote Algeria’s image on the African continent and around the world.”

And the Minister of Communication highlighted that “public authorities are doing their best to support media institutions with material and human means in order to ensure the practice of the profession in appropriate conditions, and to enable all citizens to media and keep abreast of the reality of our country.”

Before that, Mr. Bouslimani inspected the headquarters of the local branch of the Algerian Television Corporation in Ghardaïa and the headquarters of the regional radio station (Ghardaïa / El-Manea), urging on the same occasion the local officials of these institutions to give utmost importance to the neighborhood media, and to value the natural and human capabilities that abound in this region.

At the end of his visit to the state of Ghardaïa, on Friday evening, the Minister of Communications will oversee the conclusion of the work of the sixth session on institutional communication.
