Enhancing Parliamentary Cooperation between Algeria and Turkey – Algerian Dialogue

Today, Sunday, Speaker of the National Assembly, Salih Gojel, received at the Assembly’s headquarters, His Excellency Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Algeria, who paid him a farewell visit following the end of her duties in our country and her appointment as a minister in the Turkish government after the election of Recep Tayyip Erdogan as President of the Republic of Turkey for a third term.

Salih Gocel, after extending his congratulations to Mahinour Ozdemir Goktas on her appointment as a member of the Turkish government, mentioned the qualitative, distinguished and historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries, which are bound by a strategic partnership agreement that must be further deepened … which are relations that know a quantum leap in terms of coordination and cooperation in various fields in line with the political will Which follows the leaders of the two countries, Abdul Majeed Tebboune, Recep Tayyip Erdogan… enumerating the areas of cooperation between the two countries that were translated into the agreements concluded in this regard.

The Speaker of the National Assembly mentioned Algeria’s stances towards many regional and international issues of common concern, foremost of which is the Palestinian cause and the right of peoples to self-determination, and the need to intensify cooperation and coordination mechanisms in the economic field between the two countries and between them and the African continent… He also reaffirmed the importance of activating the role of non-aligned countries, especially in The current international context and its political and economic repercussions.

For her part, Mahienour Ozdemir Göktash praised the Algerian-Turkish relations, foreseeing that they are called for further consolidation in light of the wise policy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and in light of the glare of Algerian diplomacy and the restoration of Algeria to its leading position in international forums.
